Day 12: Spiritual stability
Our walk with God is called the race of life. It is not a sprint or a dash, it is a marathon. What a marathon runner needs is determination and stability to keep running. Physical strength cannot achieve this. God is the one who renews our strength as we wait on him.
Isaiah 40:30-31 – Even the youths shall faint and be weary, And the young men shall utterly fall, But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.
Psalms 125:1 – Those who trust in the Lord Are like Mount Zion, Which cannot be moved, but abides forever.
1 Corinthians 15: 58 – Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord
1 Corinthians 16:13 – Be on the alert. Stand firm in the faith. Be men of courage. Be strong.
Psalms 91:3 – Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence.
** Father, let there be evidence that I am tarrying in your presence
** As my strength is being renewed, I ascend
** As I ascend, weights and baggage begin to drop off IJN
** We receive grace to stand firmly, steady and surefooted
** Awaken us to the traps of the enemy set to trip us- in other words, you’re praying for increased sensitivity
** Declare over yourself Psalms 125:1, 1 Corinthians 15: 58 and 1 Corinthians 16:13 personalise them
