DAY 16: Spiritual Awakening:
If the millions of Christians in the UK were to “wake up” and become more assertive in standing up for the Christain faith, we would have a great positive effect on the culture.
Napoleon once pointed to a map of China and said, “ There lies a sleeping giant. If it ever wakes up, it will be unstoppable “ we all can testify the giant is now truly awake.
Today Great Britain is a sleeping giant. Today some churches are either empty or filled with members who are doing nothing with their faith except “keeping” it. But God has far greater expectations for every Christain. HE expects every follower of Jesus Christ to use their gifts and talents to do ministry , to occupy until He comes.
Ephesians 5:14 – “Therefore He says: “Awake, you who sleep, Arise from the dead, And Christ will give you light.””
His light makes everything visible, so we must contend for light.
All great revivals are kindled by an overwhelming awareness of sin, a desire for repentance, and a turning to God’s word.
Isaiah 55:7 – “Let the wicked forsake his way, And the unrighteous man his thoughts; Let him return to the Lord, And He will have mercy on him; And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.”
Romans 13:11 – “And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first.
Ezekiel 36:26 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.”
Isaiah 60:1 – “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”
PRAYER POINTS
Thank God for His goodness upon the global church, thank Him for the journey thus far, all glory belongs to Him
Lord wake up my soul from spiritual complacency and give me a fresh revelation of your presence .
Let’s once again pray for His mercy for what believers have turn the church into, ( Luke 1:50 , He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear Him)
Father show us mercy in every way we have deviated from what is right in your sight.
Lord wake the church up from spiritual sleep and slumber
Lord remove every prayer infirmity and fill us with a fervent passion for intercession
Open our eyes and ears in the spirit so that we can perceive your truth and live fully awake in your presence .
Lord give us urgent passion for the faith
Lord deliver the body of Christ from worldly distractions so we can focus on our heavenly mandate.
Help us the church to see ourselves the way you see us in the spirit, so we can walk in the dominion you have given us.
We break down denominational barriers that stands against the move of God in this era of the church.
Lord ignite a fire of revivals in our cities, churches and homes .
Lord let your kingdom advance and your glory made known in an unprecedented way.
