God restoring divine foundations
Returning to covenant paths
Re-establishing godly inheritance and identity
Spiritual stability and permanence
Walking in God’s original purpose
Rebuilding ancient ruins and spiritual altars
Proverbs 22:28 – Do not remove the ancient landmark Which your fathers have set.
Jeremiah 6:16 – Thus says the LORD: “Stand in the ways and see, And ask for the old paths, where the good way is, And walk in it; Then you will find rest for your souls…”
Isaiah 58:12 – And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.
Isaiah 61:4,6-7 – And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. But ye shall be named the Priests of the LORD: men shall call you the Ministers of our God: ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.
Psalm 16:5-6 – The LORD is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot. The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
Prayer points
Lord, thank you for the visible and well defined boundaries that you have set for us for our own good.
Lord, give us a deep love of your ward and a resolve always abide by them that none of us will seek to deviate from them either slightly or completely. Psalm 119:97-104
You give us the power to resist & flee temptations that toe the boundary line or cross over into enemy territory. Ephesians 6:10-11 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Prov18:20 The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
God give us discernment to recognise the deceit of the enemy. Galatians 5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
May we not move the landmark of the faithful to join with the ranks of the faithless. Keep our eyes on you permanently and the innumerable promises and blessings you have for us.
We pray for spiritual stability: the right and godly company, the love of God’s word and transformation by meditation. Psalm 1
