Day 9: Rebuilding our altars- Personal revival
It is not a coincidence, but a divine orchestration that this is our month of fasting as well as our month of Koinonia. The message is clear- come closer! Come higher! As we yield to God’s call, we receive strength to overcome intimacy blockers.
As we lay ourselves on the altar, God’s holy fire will burn away the dross and refine us
We will become people who desire God for who he is not just for what he has, seekers of God’s face and not just his hands.
Psalms 85:6 – Will You not revive us again, That Your people may rejoice in You?
Isaiah 44:2-3 – Thus says the Lord who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you: ‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant; And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, And floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring;
Jer 20:9 – But if I say I’ll never mention the Lord or speak in his name, his word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!
** Ignite my altar and let my altar catch fire
**Holy fire burn on my altar, burn in me, burn through me
** Stir up our passion for your presence
** Arouse our desire for personal encounters with you
** Birth in us a hunger for your word- because our lives depend on it
** Let our prayer lives take a new turn for the better
** May the zeal for your house consume us
** Let it be like fire that cannot be shut up in our bones
